Immigration Reforming Republicans

While Latinos likely hold the lion's share of the illegal immigrants in the US, what has been lost during these illegal immigration debates is the fact that there are many people from Europe, Asia and other regions of  the world, that are in this country illegally. Latinos, especially Mexicans, have become the face of illegal immigration, because they are the most visible or easily identifiable due to their association with the southern border of the US, which gives them easier access.

People from the Eastern European countries and China for example live way more easily under the radar, without detection. They do not speak English as a first language and most don't speak much English, but they are able to assimilate in their tightly-knitted communities without being detected or disturbed, for the most part.

From a political perspective, Latinos are a desirable voting bloc for both major political parties, so every plan for immigration reform is tailor-made with them in mind.  For Republicans especially, moving with urgency is imperative as they are hope that this will send a positive message to the Latino community, and for them, the next primary elections will be a litmus test of how much sway they have had with this most desired demographic.
